Description
Empowering Jennings County with Amateur Radio Dedicated to fostering amateur radio, education, and community support, we enhance emergency preparedness and connect enthusiasts across South Central Indiana. The Jennings County Amateur Radio Association brings together operators of all experience levels to learn, serve, and connect. Our members participate in weekly on air nets, hands on training, licensing support, and technical experimentation across voice, digital, and emergency communications. The club supports public service events and severe weather operations through Skywarn while maintaining reliable local repeater infrastructure for the community. Through mentorship, fellowship, and outreach, JCARA helps new operators get started and gives experienced hams a place to collaborate, teach, and give back across South Central Indiana. Monthly in person meetings are held on the first Tuesday at 7PM at the Jennings County EMA Training Center in North Vernon, Indiana.
