Description
The Rainbow Country Net has been running continuously for decades and is the largest net of it's kind in British Columbia, perhaps North America. Check-ins number in excess of 100 every day. The net runs 7 days a week, 365 days a year. While the official start time is 0900 (Pacific time) early check-ins commence at 0830, with virtually all net controllers allowing check-ins to start at 0800. Net controllers rotate through several different people. Those participating are primarily around the Metro Vancouver area, however the VE7RPT repeater has a very large footprint so regular check-ins occur from northern Washington state, as well as IRLP check-ins from much further. The repeater is connected during the net to the Vancouver Reflector, IRLP node 9009.
